Settings and Management

Configure and manage your vault

Storage Information

The Storage screen shows a breakdown of how much space your vault is using, split between your real vault and decoy vault. This helps you understand your storage usage and manage your device space.

Storage is calculated from the encrypted files on disk, so the displayed size reflects the actual space used including encryption overhead.

Show/Hide Trash Tab

Deleted items are moved to the Trash tab where they remain for 30 days before being permanently purged. You can restore or permanently delete individual items from the Trash at any time.

If you prefer a cleaner interface, you can hide the Trash tab entirely from Settings. Hidden or not, the 30-day auto-purge continues to run in the background.

Reset Vault

The Reset Vault option in the Danger Zone permanently deletes ALL vault data — photos, videos, albums, notes, contacts, documents, and encryption keys. This action cannot be undone.

To prevent accidental resets, you must confirm through three steps: two confirmation dialogs and typing the word "DELETE" to proceed. After reset, the app returns to the onboarding flow for fresh setup.

Auto-Lock Timer Configuration

Set how quickly the vault locks after you leave the app. Options are 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, or never. A shorter timer is more secure but requires more frequent passcode entry.

The auto-lock timer starts when the app moves to the background. When the timer expires, returning to the app will show the lock screen.

Decoy Vault Settings

When you're inside the decoy vault (opened with the decoy passcode), Settings shows a reduced set of options to maintain the illusion. The decoy vault has its own biometric toggle and auto-lock setting.

Advanced security features like Escape PIN, break-in detection, and cloud sync are not visible in the decoy vault's settings — only the real vault has access to these.
