Encrypted notes and document storage
Privara includes a full-featured block-based note editor. Notes support multiple block types: text paragraphs, headings (H1, H2, H3), checklists with toggleable items, bullet lists, and media blocks for inline photos and videos.
All note content is encrypted at rest. You can search across all notes by title and decrypted body text. Notes can be organized into notebooks and tagged for easy filtering.
Each note can be assigned one of 8 color themes to visually distinguish different types of content. Colors appear as a subtle background tint in the notes list.
Pin important notes to keep them at the top of the list regardless of sort order. Pinned notes are marked with a pin icon for easy identification.
Record voice memos directly within a note. The audio is captured using the device microphone, encrypted immediately, and attached to the note. You can play back recordings inline.
Voice memos are useful for quick thoughts, meeting notes, or any situation where typing isn't practical. Microphone access must be granted in device settings.
Premium users can import documents into the vault, including PDFs, text files, and images. Documents are imported through the system document picker, encrypted on import, and stored securely.
Documents can be organized into folders for better structure. Each document gets a thumbnail preview generated at import time.
Privara includes a built-in document viewer powered by PDFKit for PDF files. Open any stored document to view it — the content is decrypted on the fly for display.
Documents can also be exported or shared through the standard iOS share sheet when needed.
