Edit photos and extract text
The built-in photo editor lets you adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation using intuitive sliders. All edits are applied using Core Image filters and processed entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers.
You can preview changes in real time and save the edited version back to your vault. The edited photo replaces the original and is re-encrypted automatically.
Beyond the basics, the editor also supports exposure, sharpness, and warmth adjustments. Exposure controls overall lightness, sharpness enhances detail and edges, and warmth shifts the color temperature between cool and warm tones.
All adjustments can be combined and previewed together before saving.
The crop tool supports freeform cropping as well as preset aspect ratios. You can crop to square, 4:3, 16:9, or other standard ratios. Drag the corners or edges to adjust the crop area.
The cropped image is saved back to your vault with encryption applied automatically.
Privara can extract text from any photo using on-device OCR (Optical Character Recognition). Open a photo in the viewer and tap the OCR button to scan for text. The recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework.
Extracted text can be copied to your clipboard or saved directly as an encrypted note in your vault.
